Magnolia Grove Monastery is a 120-acre residential monastery located in Batesville, Mississippi. It is of the Plum Village tradition, founded by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. Magnolia Grove hosts retreats of varying lengths, in addition to allowing personal lengths of stay or day visits.
The Jackson Insight Meditation group is Theravada-oriented group which cultivates the qualities of mindfulness and equanimity, which in turn foster the deepening of wisdom and compassion, the gateways to liberation and freedom. It is led by Bebe Wolfe, who has been practicing for over 20 years and opened the Wolfe Art Studio Dojo in 2002. In addition to meditation, she offers practice periods on Metta or "loving-kindness," as well as group study on a particular Dharma talk or book.
